Position: UX Designer

As the first UX expert on the Product team, you will work alongside a team of product managers and developers (all remote) to design and improve features on our LMS (learning management system), 3D content, and 3D simulation authoring tools. We’re looking for someone comfortable with a range of skills from visual design to user research, with particular experience in designing, executing, and synthesizing usability tests.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct user research and apply a variety of testing techniques to gather feedback on new ideas and features
  • Lead the design of new experiences, interactions, and features in close partnership with our PMs and developers
  • Work on a diverse range of projects on our LMS (learning management system), 3D content, and 3D simulation authoring tools
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
  • Manage research and design projects and delegate work to contractors when required
  • Ensure the best possible user experience

Requirements

  • 3+ years of UX and product design experience
  • Strong portfolio of user research and design projects
  • Experience in prototyping and design tools such as Balsamiq, UXPin, Illustrator, and Sketch
  • Strong project management and time management (we’re so excited for our first UX hire and there will be many projects we can dive into – we need you to tell us if there’s too much going on, and we will be responsive in return!)
  • Practical ability to write clear, concise summaries and recommendations of user research and testing
  • Bonus if have experience in EdTech, learning design, gaming and 3D design
  • Strong communication skills allowing efficient communication in English with your team members
  • We will only consider candidates who are currently authorized to work in the US
