Pumpkin is looking for a Freelance Associate Designer to support our Design & Marketing teams.

One of our key initiatives this year is expanding our blog, Prrrs & Wags, and our breed directory. We’re looking for an associate designer that can help us select and source high-quality imagery, and then adjust and export as needed for our new articles. Sometimes this will require light retouching or compositing so that the imagery communicates what’s needed.

This is a part-time, freelance position and all work can be done remote. We expect it to be about 20 hours of work per week for the next 3-6 months. This work is flexible and can be done nights or weekends, or whenever best suits your schedule.  We have a little bit of catch-up work to do, so if you’re available to work additional hours the first few weeks that is an option too. In addition to our blog and breed directory work, there may be a small amount of ad-hoc project work on other marketing and brand initiatives.

Pumpkin is a growing company with a very special culture and pet-passionate people. There is always the potential for future work and full-time opportunities on our Experience & Design team. This is a great opportunity for a student or designer just starting their career that would like to work with an early-stage company in the pet care industry.

What We’re Looking For:

• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator experience
• Sketch and/or Figma experience
• Great organizational skills (The work is flexible but deadlines will be important and good team communication will be critical)
• WordPress experience, inputting and formatting blog content, is a big plus but not required.
